SOHMO Tailoring Shears 10" in Gold
The largest shear in the SOHMO Italian range. 10 inches. 130mm of cutting blade. Handmade in Italy.
When the 8" tailoring shear isn't quite enough - when you're cutting heavy wool coating, upholstery fabric, multiple layers of denim, or simply want a shear that covers more ground with each stroke - the SOHMO Large Tailoring Shears are what you reach for. At 10" with a 130mm cutting blade and a total weight of 630g (packaged), these are substantial, serious shears that reward sustained, confident cutting.
Handmade in Italy from nickel-plated carbon steel with 24k gold-plated handles, the 10" shears carry the same Italian craftsmanship as the rest of the SOHMO shear range - just with more reach. The offset handles keep the lower blade close to the cutting surface, maintaining control as the blade travels through fabric. Both blades are knife-edge, meeting cleanly and sharply for a smooth, uncompromising cut through even the heaviest materials.
At this size and weight, these shears are used by dressmakers and tailors cutting full-length garment pieces and heavy suiting, by quilters working through thick batting and multiple quilt layers, by home sewists tackling curtains and upholstery, and by anyone who cuts large volumes of fabric regularly and needs a shear that doesn't slow down.
They're also the scissors of choice for ceremonial ribbon cutting - grand openings, building launches, and milestone events. The 10" gold-handled presentation makes an immediate impression, and the gift box packaging means they're ready to use as a centrepiece prop or a lasting keepsake.
Weighty without being unwieldy. Sharp, well-made Italian scissors. With routine care (a drop of oil at the pivot screw, a wipe with the included microfibre cloth) they're built to last decades.
Presented in a sturdy card box with foam insert, care instructions, and a microfibre cloth.
