Sewing Pins - Every Type, Beautifully Packaged
The right pin makes a surprising difference. SOHMO carries the full range — one for every fabric, every project, every technique.
Every pin in the SOHMO range is smooth, sharp, and strong, packaged in a beautiful sliding-lid metal tin designed to be kept and reused. Here's a quick guide to choosing yours:
Glass Head Pins - the best all-rounder. Heatproof heads mean you can get nice and close with the iron. Great for garment sewing, quilting, and everyday dressmaking.
Dressmaking Pins - fine nickel-plated steel pins for garment sewing, pattern cutting, and alterations. At 0.65mm diameter, they're slim enough for most woven fabrics.
Entomology Pins - the finest pin in the range at 0.45mm. Originally designed for scientific specimen mounting, prized by sewists for silk, organza, chiffon, and delicate fabrics that standard pins would mark.
Basting Pins - curved safety pins for quilt basting. The curve guides the pin through multiple layers with minimal effort. Pack of 50.
Coilless Pins - snag-free safety pins without the coil, ideal for marking stitches in knitting and crochet or securing appliqué on fine fabrics.
Bulb Pins - also known as pear pins or calabash pins. Smooth, coil-free stitch markers for knitting - light enough to sit on the needle without distorting the stitch.
T-Pins - the heavy-duty option. Used for blocking knitting, pinning wigs, and securing extra-heavy or foam-backed fabrics that regular pins can't handle.
Stainless Steel Clips - for when you can't use pins at all. Leather, vinyl, laminated cotton, oilcloth, and waterproof fabrics don't forgive pin holes - SOHMO clips hold layers firmly in place without marking the material. Also useful for quilt binding, hemming, and any project where pin-free sewing is the cleaner option. Available in Mini and standard 55mm sizes.
Not sure where to start? The Glass Head Pins are the most versatile - and the most loved.
