The SOHMO Go-To Scissors Medium sits at the most useful point in the range. At 6", it's large enough to cut with confidence through multiple fabric layers - up to 4 layers of cotton quilting fabric with ease - and compact enough for precise, controlled work on smaller pattern pieces, curved edges, and detailed cuts.
Like every Go-To scissor, the handles were custom-designed by SOHMO with purpose-built moulds - not an off-the-shelf template. The silicone grip is soft, flexible, and genuinely comfortable to hold through longer sessions at the cutting table or craft desk. The micro-serrated blade pulls material gently into the cut rather than pushing it away, giving you cleaner lines and less slippage whether you're cutting cotton, linen, paper, vellum, or washi tape.
The medium is the size most sewists, quilters, and paper crafters reach for first. It's well-balanced for garment sewing, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, appliqué, scrapbooking, and junk journalling. They're equally at home in the sewing room and on the craft desk. Care: Blades and points are very sharp - keep out of reach of children. If blades become sticky (e.g. from craft glue), wipe with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe - blades will corrode if exposed to dishwasher detergent.
