They work fine, right up until years later when your heirloom quilt or hand-stitched sampler starts showing faint yellow streaks along every seam, because some synthetic conditioners don't age well. Beeswax does. SOHMO's pure Australian Beeswax won't yellow over time, which matters enormously if what you're stitching is meant to outlast you.

Run your thread across the block before stitching and it glides more smoothly through fabric, tangles less, and holds up better to daily wear and abrasion. It's a go-to for hand sewing, embroidery, English paper piecing, beading, and button attachment, particularly useful when you're working with fine cotton threads, metallic embroidery threads, or any thread that's ever knotted on you out of pure spite.

It also adds real longevity to seams and buttons, so the thing you're making now still looks the part in twenty years, not just twenty days.

Unbleached, untreated, and naturally scented with a light honey aroma, each batch varies in colour from soft gold to deep tan depending on what the bees were foraging that season. No two tins are quite the same.
